Hi, I’m Coach Burt

I am helping the next generation by sharing my football playing and coaching experience.  Born and raised in Ohio I went to college at West Liberty University. I graduated with a bachelors in graphic design and later continued my education and received a certificate in computer programming.

I was the only two-time West Virginia Conference Defensive Player of the Year in West Liberty football history.  I still hold the school’s career records of 47 quarterback sacks and 74.5 tackles-for-loss.

After graduating from West Liberty, I was the 2002 af2 Lineman of the Year after recording a staggering 27.5 sacks for the Cape Fear (N.C.) Wildcats, believed to be a single-season pro football record.    I enjoyed a eight-year career in the Arena Football League and hold records for quarterback sacks and forced fumbles. An AFL All-Rookie Team honoree in 2003 and a second-team All-AFL pick in 2005, I led the league in forced fumbles twice and ranked among the AFL sack leaders throughout my career.

After my playing career I have coach over 16 years including college, high school, and I am currently the Defensive Coordinator for the Orlando Predators in National Arena League.

Our Philosophy

Our program is focused on developing the athlete using the Stages of Learning.

Stage 1 (Cognitive), teach the athlete how to perform basic skills. Our on- line app feeds this need in the athlete.

Stage 2 (Associative), combine the learned skill with more chances to demonstrate what they learned. Skills will grow and when an error is made the athlete will start to recognize them.

Stage 3 (Autonomous), skills have been learned and the athlete makes less mistakes and can auto correct. Athlete is now working on more advanced skills.
